Morrisons. Helping you Grow

Morrison’s Home and Garden has a rich farming background that is truly unique among garden centers. The company started when Walter Morrison bought an existing Agway business in Sandwich, MA, after graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Agricultural Economics. As the local economy evolved, Morrison’s adapted to the changing landscape by continuing to support the farming community while supplying both the horticultural trade and homeowners.

Today, Morrison’s has a new owner, George Lewis. George grew up on a small “gentlemen’s” farm. He studied at Bentley University and has degrees in finance, economics, and earth sciences & sustainability, and pursued a post-college career as a private wealth advisor. In 2018, George decided to return to his agricultural roots and purchased the almost 100-year-old grain mill, Ventura Grain, located in Taunton, MA. Ventura Grain manufactures and sells its own brand of animal feed, Every Day Quality Feeds, to animal owners on both a large and small scale.

When Walter Morrison, AKA Morry, decided to retire, it was the perfect opportunity for George to venture into the home and garden retail sector, and in 2022, he purchased Morrison’s Home and Garden. The service, quality products, and friendly staff our customers have come to know have not changed, but now we can offer locally manufactured Ventura Grain Every Day Quality Feeds.

We are proud to be Plymouth's favorite garden center and nursery. From plants to animals, we have been helping Plymouth grow since 1972!!

Milo Morrison

Milo Morrison is our store cat and is a special part of Morrison’s Home and Garden. He came to us in 2019 as part of Plymouth Animal Shelter's Working Cat Program, which matches up "community cats" (a.k.a. strays) with barns, stables, and warehouses. He can usually be found napping in the greenhouse, being spoiled with treats at the front counter, or rolling in our Catnip in greenhouse 3.

Milo brings so much joy to everyone at Morrison's, customers and employees alike!
